Weekend Vibes: The Cute Holiday Activity Edition
Heading to a crowded plaza to stare at a tree that was recently removed from its entire family is traditionally the go to move during the holiday season for humans if you live in or around New York City. But we think there’s an easier way to express your love for one another. We’ve included them below.
Smith & Sinclair’s Adult Candy Shop, 66 Greenwich Avenue, New York, Friday through December 22nd
Booze-infused cocktail gummies, edible fragrances and candles, and paint you can drink are just a few of the crazy gifts you’ll find at this pop up running through December 22. It’s probably going to get crazy because it’s a tight space and people love booze, so plan wisely.
Coffee Cupping and Roasting Tour, Gumption Coffee, Industry City, 168 39th St, Brooklyn, Saturday
Listen, we’re not trying to get in between the relationship you have between you and your barista, but Industry City is a great place to check out if you are interested in learning how things are made. And learning all about coffee comes is pretty much required learning if you want to be taken seriously as an adult (or at least sell the idea you can be an adult). If that sounds like a plan, you can reserve a spot in our Leisurely class here.
Bust Holiday Craftacular, Industry City, 168 39th St, Brooklyn, Saturday and Sunday
Okay, obviously we love Industry City for its authenticity and collection of amazing food and drink destinations (seriously, where else can you see sake brewing, get a taco from Hometown BBQ, and pick up a jar of freshly made pickles while watching them being brined in the back. Nowhere else. That’s the correct answer). This craft fair is actually worth your time, and includes workshops on everything from cooking to sex to learning helpful tips if you’re considering adding the occult sciences to your life.
Pita Making, Pomp and Circumstance, 577 Lorimer Street, Brooklyn, Sunday
We laid out all of the benefits of adding pita bread to your life earlier this week, so why not give the gift of carbs by learning how to make them? Reserve a spot in class here.
