Labor Day weekend is upon us and whether you’re getting out of town or enjoying a staycation, you probably need some reading material. NYC Unicycle Festival, Various Location, Thursday through Sundays

If you’re going to do something a little adventurous this weekend, do it on a unicycle we say! The 10th Annual NYC Unicycle Festival is back this weekend and will feature a selection of one-wheeled activities including a ride through Central Park. New York Caribbean Carnival Week, Brooklyn Museum, 200 Eastern Parkway, Brooklyn, Thursday Through Monday

Spend an entire weekend celebrating the Caribbean with steel drum bands, dancing, parades, and more at these all day affairs, which are mostly based around the Brooklyn Museum. A full line up of events including the schedule for the annual West Indian Day Parade can be viewed here.

Big Onion Tours Labor Day Walking Tour, Lower Manhattan, Monday, 1 pm

You might have a routine when it comes to Monday holidays, like say sitting in traffic, but why not switch things up this year by heading back early and spending a few hours on a walking tour?
