Breweries We Know You Want to Put on Your Radar: Evil Twin Brewing

For anyone who has imbibed at a beer bar in Brooklyn like Torst, the name Evil Twin Brewing must be familiar. However, finding the actual brewery where that beer was made has been a much more difficult task. That’s because Jeppe Jarnit-Bjergsø, the founder of Evil Twin Brewing, has been releasing brews sporadically throughout the last decade by partnering with different breweries across the globe. Now, Jeppe’s travels have come to a temporary halt as his Ridgewood, Queens based brewery is officially opened. Pouring out 20 beers on tap along with freshly brewed cans and growlers, Jarnit-Bjergsø’s colorful brews can all be found in one place. The 3,650-square-foot space, which includes a greenhouse barroom and outdoor area, can hold up to 260 people. The brewery is using 15 and 30 barrel tanks in order to brew limited edition, small batch beers along with brew styles for larger scale production. As far as flavors, guests unfamiliar with Evil Twin’s heavenly tastes can expect the unexpected. There’s the Root Beer Beer of course.

Then there’s the collaboration with The Veil Brewing: the Imperial Berliner Gose known as Luxurious Luxury Volume One, brewed with marshmallow, Italian plum, raspberry and merlot salt.

For those conscious about the ingredients they put into their body, there’s the No MSG, No IPA.

And for those in need of the breakfast of champions, let’s not forget Imperial Doughnut Break. Evil Twin’s Taproom will be open on October 2 with select hours, and will also offer cans and crowlers to go.
