Weekend Vibes: Keep Calm and Eat On

We know you might be asking yourself, should I really go out and explore my fair city this weekend? We get it. Better safe than sorry. But only you can make that decision. So we’re just gonna leave these ideas right here for you to consider. We don’t know much about coronavirus, but we do know cabin fever isn’t fun either.

Pastrytown, Industry City, 639 2nd Avenue, Brooklyn, Saturday

Do you like beer? What about desserts? If you answered yes to either of those, or possibly both, then a festival celebrating sweet, dessert tasting beer is for you. A ticket, $100, includes 4 hours of beer drinking, wrestling matches, and beer paired with dessert; get them here.

Brooklyn Chocolate, Wine, and Whiskey Festival, Brooklyn Expo Center, 72 Noble Street, Brooklyn, Saturday

This festival is not complicated. It celebrates chocolate, wine, and whiskey. And if you pace yourself, you just may be able to handle the unlimited samples of every category. Tickets start at $45 and can be scored here.

Coffeefest, Jacob Javits Center, 655 West 34th Street, Sunday through Tuesday

If you’re like us, you start every day with coffee to remind yourself you probably have a job to do. Get a years worth of a caffeine fix, or just learn more about what your favorite roasters are up to, at this annual trade show. If that doesn’t sell it for you, then…latte art showdown perhaps? Learn more about how to register here.
