RuPaul’s DragCon 2019, Jacob K. Javits Center, Manhattan, Friday through Sunday

If you were dragging after the holiday this week, we hear you. That’s why think checking out RuPaul’s DragCon is the perfect remedy to get you back to having fun. Mingle with celebrity drag queens or watch drag races and other contests during this three day event, which features nearly 300 exhibitors offering wigs, fashion, and anything you need to liven up your closet. 10th Annual Pig Island 2019, Erie Basin Park, Brooklyn, Saturday, 11:30 AM to 4 PM

Vegans, we love you but you’re probably going to want to skip this suggestion. Over 20 chefs from across the country will descend upon Erie Basin Park in Red Hook - you know the one next to IKEA - for a festival that can only be described as hog wild. Celebrating the love humans have for pork, regional delights like South Carolina’s famed Ossawbaw Island pig and pure Ibérico pigs from New Jersey will be available as featured dishes guests can enjoy. USA Today Wine and Food Festival With Antoni Porowski, LeFrak Center, Brooklyn, Saturday, 1 pm

If you’re into food festivals, but not that into pork, swing by the USA Today Wine and Food Festival for a sampling of food from over 30 local restaurants, chef demonstrations, wine tastings from World Wrestling Entertainment’s Nikki and Brie Bella’s Belle Radici, and the chance to meet Queer Eye’s Antoni Porowski.
