Join Red Paper Clip for an evening of cooking, cocktail-making and sumptuous cuisine.
On arrival, guests will be welcomed by Beverage Director Nicholas Gilbert as he guides us on how to make one of Red Paper Clip’s signature cocktails.
Turning up the heat, we'll then move on to the kitchen with Executive Chef, Michael Jou. After hearing the story behind Red Paper Clip and their inventive menu, it’s time to cook!
Guests will learn how to make one of their signature dishes, Black Truffle Agnolotti.
Afterwards, the evening will wind down with a seated three course menu highlighting the dishes that were created.

Executive Chef, Red Paper Clip
Executive Chef Michael Jou is classically trained- focusing on Red Paper Clip’s seasonal tasting menu to highlight Taiwanese flavors in a fine dining setting.
He met Red Paper Clip’s Chef/Owner Kevin Chen during their time together at Alinea in 2012.
NICHOLAS GILBERT
Beverage Director, Red Paper Clip
Nicholas made his first wine from the crabapple tree in his backyard when he was 13- working nearly every position from back to front of house.
Additionally he has had brief careers in construction, music, fine art, photography, and politics.
He is now the Beverage Director at Red Paper Clip, and is always happy to share a drink with you.

The story of the red paper clip is about trading up from one item to the next, realizing a larger goal than previously achievable. Each trade made results in new possibilities.
Red Paper Clip is an intimate, neighborhood restaurant located on Christopher Street in the West Village.
Their menu is influenced by Chef/Owner Kevin Chen's Taiwanese-American heritage, his upbringing in Queens and his time spent traveling and cooking around the US.
