ABDUL AHAT
Chef-Owner, Caravan Uyghur Cuisine
Abdul Ahat is the proud owner and visionary behind Caravan Uyghur Cuisine, a beloved family-owned and operated restaurant tucked away in FiDi. Abdul’s rooted passion for sharing Uyghur cuisine with New York paved the way for the establishment of one of the first Uyghur restaurants in the bustling food scene of NYC.
Abdul’s journey began amidst the aromatic flavors and traditional recipes of his homeland. Inspired by the rich tapestry of Uyghur culture, he embarked on a mission to introduce the authentic taste of Kashgar to a global audience. Fueled by nostalgia and a desire to share his heritage, he set out to open a restaurant that would capture the essence of homemade Uyghur cuisine.
